“All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up.”
Channel Guice Thomas is a dynamic fiber artist and the creative force behind channelguice collective, a distinguished brand of wearable art, jewelry, and fashion made from her handmade batik textiles. Born and raised in New Orleans, Channel's passion for vibrant colors and unique patterns was evident from a young age. Her creativity found its true calling when she met Indonesian artist Viktor Sarjano and learned the intricate process of batik, which has since become her primary medium.
Channel's work is characterized by bold colors and energetic patterns, reflecting her lively spirit and devotion to her craft. Believing that her fabrics are best displayed on the body, where they can move and flow, she launched the channelguice collective in 2016. This line of handcrafted accessories and original clothing made from her batik fabrics was designed to be not just wearable, but expressive and impactful.
With an expanding collection and aspirations to showcase her work, Channel continues to make waves in the world of wearable art.
